Stretch Out, Sis — There’s a Miracle on the Other Side of Your Yes
Have you ever felt like something in your life quietly ended, but you didn’t get the memo? Like a role you once thrived in just… shifted? That’s exactly where I found myself not long ago. And what I’m about to share is for any woman who’s been feeling stuck, hidden, in transition—or just unsure of what’s next.
Let me tell you how one word from the Lord—“Stretch out”—led to more healing, connection, and Holy Spirit encounters than I could have ever imagined.
Because sometimes, all it takes is one yes to change everything.
When the House Went Quiet and My Heart Got Loud
This past year, I cleared my calendar to be fully present with my daughter for her last summer before college. It was such a gift. We talked, laughed, baked cookies, stayed up late—and then, just like that… she left.
Suddenly, the house got really quiet. Too quiet.
I found myself grieving. Not just her being gone, but a version of myself that had been wrapped up in being her mom. I wasn’t expecting the wave of emotions that hit me. I didn’t know how to show up in my life anymore. I was still praying, still journaling… but deep down, I felt hidden. Like a flower past its bloom.

“Stretch Out” – The Gentle Nudge That Shifted Everything
In the middle of that quiet season, I kept hearing the Lord say:
“This is the year of divine, on-time connection.”
It sounded beautiful—but honestly? I didn’t feel ready to connect. I was tired, tender, unsure of myself.
Then He whispered something else:
“When you stretch out, miracles happen.”
And oof… that hit different. I knew He was inviting me to step out again. Not from a place of striving, but surrender. To stretch—emotionally, spiritually, even physically. To make room for what He wanted to do through me, not just in me.

When You Show Up, God Shows Out
I ended up going to a women’s retreat. Not because I felt shiny or confident, but because I knew God was calling me.
At the airport, I noticed a flight attendant who looked deeply overwhelmed. I felt a nudge, so I asked if I could pray for her. Right there in the middle of the terminal, she said yes—and as I prayed, she began to weep and crumpled gently into my arms. She was overwhelmed by the love and presence of God.
That moment cracked something open in me.
From there, it was like a flood of divine encounters:
• We prayed over a woman with a raging migraine—and she was instantly healed
• A friend with lupus asked for prayer—and the pain she’d carried for years lifted right there in front of us. She has walked in complete healing ever since!
• I stopped overthinking and started obeying. Not perfectly, but faithfully.
And every time I stretched out, God showed up.

This Is a Stretching Season—But Not the Kind You Think
In the Bible, stretching isn’t about hustle—it’s about healing and obedience.
• Moses stretched his hand and the sea parted.
• Elisha stretched himself over a boy—and breath returned.
• Jesus told a man with a withered hand, “Stretch it out”—and he was instantly restored.
• Peter reached out his hand to a lame man—and said, “I don’t have silver or gold, but what I do have, I give you…” And the man walked.
None of them felt “qualified.” They just made room.

What If Your Stretch Is Someone Else’s Breakthrough?
Listen, friend If you’re in a season that feels dry or uncertain, I want to encourage you:
God hasn’t forgotten you. He’s preparing you.
There’s more ahead for you—but it may take a little stretching. Not striving. Just simple yeses.
• Say yes to praying for that coworker.
• Say yes to going even when you feel like hiding.
• Say yes to letting someone see you.
• Say yes to community, even if it feels vulnerable.
Every step of obedience becomes a doorway for the miraculous.

It’s Your Time to Stretch
God is enlarging your tent, not because you’ve outgrown the old—but because He’s getting ready to fill the new.
You don’t have to feel ready. You just have to be willing.
Stretch past fear. Stretch past disappointment. Stretch past the “What if I’m not enough?”
Because here’s the truth:
Jesus is more than enough and His Spirit is inside of you. Your yes might just unlock someone else’s healing as well as your own.

A Little Prayer for You
Father,
For the woman reading this who feels forgotten, hidden, or unsure of her next season—I pray you’d meet her right now. Stir her faith to stretch out again. Remind her that she doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful. Fill her with fresh boldness to say yes to you. And let her be overwhelmed with your love for her. In Jesus name, Amen.

Hey, before you go…
If this encouraged you, would you share it with a friend?
And if you’ve been in a stretching season, I’d love to hear about it. Leave a comment or DM me—we’re not meant to do this walk alone.
Keep stretching, sis. Miracles are on the other side.
